About
How this service works
Bethlehem Roof is not a roofing company. A call here is passed to an independent contractor that works in your area; that contractor looks at the roof, prices the job and, if you hire them, does the work.
What this site is
Bethlehem Roof is a referral line for homeowners in Bethlehem and the neighboring towns who are planning a roof replacement or a new roof. The guides cover materials, local permit and historic district rules, Pennsylvania contract law and what drives the price, so you know what to ask.
When you call, you reach an independent roofing contractor that serves your address. That company is a separate business: it inspects the roof, gives you its own price and, if you hire it, does the work and answers for it.
The site is run by Gunnar Bengtsson. There is no office open to the public.

How it works
From one call to a finished roof
- 1
You call
Say where the house is and what is on the roof now. You are put through to an independent contractor serving that address.
- 2
They inspect
The contractor looks at the roof, and the attic where they can, then gives you a written scope and price.
- 3
Paperwork
If you go ahead, you sign a written contract. The contractor arranges the permit and any historic district approval.
- 4
New roof
The old roof comes off, the new one goes on, and the job ends with the site cleaned and any inspection passed.
How the site is paid
You pay this site nothing. Contractors, or the referral network they belong to, may pay it when a call is connected. The contractor sets its own prices, and you never have to hire them.
This site doesn't help with insurance claims or refer claim work. The full details are in the referral disclosure.
Before you hire anyone
Five checks worth the time
- Look up the contractor's Pennsylvania registration at attorneygeneral.gov or on 1-888-520-6680.
- Ask for a certificate of liability insurance, and workers' compensation if they have employees.
- Get a written contract with the full scope, dates and price.
- Confirm who applies for the permit, and for a historic district certificate if your house needs one.
- Remember you can cancel within three business days of signing.
